Group Movement Lessons — Winter 2011 series (12 classes)

January 13--March 31, 2011

The Anat Baniel Method SM

(based on the work of Dr. Moshe Feldenkrais)

The movement lessons are verbally directed movement sequences which will guide you to learn new and more dynamic ways of moving, thinking and feeling. Through these lessons you will be also able to deal with challenges in a non-competitive atmosphere. You will be encouraged to move within your own capacities, which with time will increase, using less strain in order to learn more. Your sense of vitality and self awareness will improve.

This is an Introductory series ABM lessons. The ABM method is based on the work of Dr. Moshe Feldenkrais, and helps people that want to improve the way they move, deal with conditions such as back pain, knee and neck injuries, and other neurological or orthopedic problems. It can also benefit people whose work involves repetitive movements like artists, musicians, dentists, etc. You can  benefit whether you are new to the method or a more experienced student. The goal of the lessons is to bring more energy and vitality to your life. The series will have a sequential structure to it so each of the six lessons builds on the previous ones.

No prerequisites are needed to join this class, only the willingness to improve!!!
